  • The Dragon's Lair

She guards her treasure with fire and sulfur
eying intruders with disdain and contempt
A pool of acid her bed, a river of lava her quilt
selfishly she bathes in piles of gold and gems

    Latichia's Lair

The naked bones of heroes and treasure hunters
lie scattered and motionless throughout the lair
And now she spies you boldly standing here
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide your fate is sealed

I like the choice of the colors to express the horror .

  • I'm thinking you have strayed into dangerous territory! Lovely little painting with a chilling (despite the lava) story!

  • Love the combo of your painting and writing! Excellent!
Now we need a song composition to go along with this! :-)
    HUGS!!! :-)

  • Sounds like hell to me. love your writing and painting.

  • I am leery of anyone who eyes an intruder with disdain and contempt! I hope I never intrude upon anyone with a fiery temper! ;)

  • Maybe that wasn't the best place to stop and paint a picture.

  • Hummm...This kind of reminds me of two Volcano's, that are actively spewing lava right now.....A half a world apart.....And yet, can still erupt together.....

  • Looks and Sounds like Smaug from the Hobbit to me.

  • This evokes the current state of affairs in Iceland.
