Conceit
There will never be anyone who loves you as much as me
They won't care for you the way I do
hold you, caress you, whisper in your ear the way I doNo one will ever provide for you
swear for you
bear for you
the way I doI am the only one you will ever need
I will cry for you
lie for you
die for you
if that is what you wantI will buy for you
vie for you
fly for you
if that is what you needThere will never be anyone who loves you as much as me
They won't care for you the way I do
hold you, caress you, whisper in your ear the way I doLove you
rub you
give to you
live for youHug you
hold you
run to you
work for youKiss you
miss you
crawl to you
steal for youThere will never be anyone who loves you as much as me
They won’t care for you the way I do
hold you, caress you, whisper in your ear the way I doNot the way I do...

I love it John. How heartfelt and tender! Beautiful.
Get me a restraining order, stat!
Your poem is great! and leaves me pondering...is this a true love...a stalker love...possibly just a bit of conceited love.
I think we have all felt that way about someone we love...even our kids...like "no one can love my kids as much as I do!"
HUGS!!!
that is good
The true meaning of conceit, is showing through....
It sounds suffocating and controlling, but it can also be total devotion....
Beautifully written.....
WOW!!!
Sounds just a bit stalkerish! hehe! Or maybe it is true love - hard to tell sometimes. Devotion to another or domineering suffocation I'm trying to decide... I like a poem that makes me think!
