Random things going on round here
I bought a used wood chipper. After trimming the apple trees and shrubs I made enough wood chips and leaf mulch to cover all the garden beds. It is loud and powerful. Oo-yeah. The neighbors love me.
This past weekend we put a marble floor in the bathroom at camp. A few years back a bank was remodeling and throwing away the marble countertops. I grabbed pieces out of the dumpster and used them for the floor. It looks awesome.
I have allergies. I never used to, but over the past few years I have developed them. Ugh.
The offer we put in on the commercial building for the studio/art gallery was accepted. Now we have to come up with a boat load of money. I wonder if there is an easier way to make money than working for it. We stopped by the bank yesterday, but someone had beaten us to it. The cops were there and the whole place was sectioned off with crime scene tape. We decided to try something different.
Seedsower is the best sister I have. She sent us a box of chocolate. I love my sister. I would love my other sisters too if they sent chocolate. Yes, my love can be bought.
A bear ate all my bird feeders. All of them. Stoopid bear.
Work is keeping me busy.
Cats are driving me crazy.
Gardens coming in nicely.
I'll stop by to see ya'll soon.

thanks for the update
Note to self: Buy J. chocolates and an inhaler.
Some of your random things are good things!
YAY!

UGH on the not-so-good ones!
Hang in there!!!
Bear HUGS!!!
Sounds like fun. I've got a rotting hickory tree in my yard. Wanna come down with the chipper and make a month of it? I'll make you cupcakes.
Why would a bear eat bird feeders? Must be one bored hungry bear. Seedsower sent Blanche and Hunter chocolate too! Since my name was not on the card or box they won't let me have any. Yeah, I have one tough Crew!
Sail on... sail on!!!
PS Are you seeking investors for your gallery?
my buddy's aunt makes $71/hr on the laptop. She has been fired from work for nine months but last month her check was $19138 just working on the laptop for a few hours. Read more on this web site http://www.rev24.com
You're funny. Seedsower is your sister, or is it just because she sent you a box of chocolates?
Yes, you can stop by more often. I'm with you about working and money. I guess it's better to work, then to retire and die, right?
Sounds like you are busy! A marble floor in the cabin! How posh! I like it that you use recycled things. I do that with things I make, too. As of today, I have made ten rag rugs of various sizes. Wish I could send you one for your cabin floor, but the cost would be crazy! Denmark has the most expensive shipping in the world! (So no chocolates, either!)
I know they make squirrel proof feeders but are bear proof ones available? Hope the craziness doesn't cause an allergic reaction - I'm allergic to crazy...
Sorry about your allergies. i am sneezing like crazy now. That was very creative recovering the marble out of the dumpster.
It takes money to make money unless robbers get their frist.
I had one cat and he was great. lol
Hope the rest of your week goes well, John.

@Seedsower sent ME chocolate too! See doesn't even like chocolate! Isn't she awesome!
I like work - but I think I am allergic to it!
Too bad about the bird feeders. Mine fell down, even the ones that were grounded, by the tornadic winds and the storms that we have had. Once this rain stops, I may be able to put them back in.
A neat idea to grab the marble counter tops and use them for floor tiles. We had marble floors at home in India... a little on the slick side, but I loved them. My kitchen here has marble tiles.
Hope you get the loans for the work that you have been given the contract for.
Real marble? Can't believe they just threw it away.
How do you know it was a bear?
Husband and I are wanting to replace our kitchen counters with marble tops. Still a work in progress though. They not cheap. And I have discovered a raccoon is coming out of the woods at night, shaking my bird feeder to get the bird seed out, and then eating it. Husband has shined a light on it to scare it away, but dang thing just keeps shaking, and coming back. If I happen to see it myself, if I'm up that late, I going to take a pic and then shoot it! (j/k)
yay for the recycles marble-floor!! that's pretty cool.
Sounds like things are going good for you. Congrats on getting the business property, that's awesome!
ooooohhhh wood chipper!! thanks for reminding me that i have one that i should use.
I'd have too much fun with a chipper.
My allergies are through the roof this year. It's been a bad year.
The Bears really do suck. I bet it was Jay Cutler that ate them all.
@Aloysius_son - still thinking.
@promisesunshine - If you want my undying love, absolutely!
hmm. debating. do i sent chocolate?
How much to borrow your wood chipper? I have some um... biomaterial that needs mulching
I looked very closely at the picture of the bank robber on tv. He was wearing a suit so knew it wasn't you!
It is great to get the marble from a bank countertop removed to make paving stones for the bathroom in your cabine.
What is the allergene ( the cause of your allergic reaction) ?
I hope you succeed in your project of gallery house .
Take care of you
Michel
I've never used a wood chipper before, but I've always wanted too. Maybe I'm just weird, but it seems like it would be fun.
Life is happening for you and it is good.
Wood pellet burning technology is pretty awesome because it is efficient. Unfortunately it needs a bit of electricity to start the pellets burning. With the wood scraps you can make your own wood pellet making machine:http://www.woodpelletline.com/pellet-press.htm?gclid=CPaM8LC7ubcCFSjZQgodqEsAAg
Then again the wood mulch principle is also pretty good to have around the cabin too.
A lot of folks when they finish using their wood burning stoves will take the thongs and dunk the burning embers in water and later dry them out for future use. I doubt though that you will use "natural" charcoal for drawing since you are now spoiled for using other drawing materials.
You can also find nice marble slabs at your local cemetery.
pecan is great for cooking fish and chicken, not so great for beef though =/ I wonder if you just fed the bears would they leave your feeders alone...so you forgot to take pictures of the floor, you could paint us a picture, just sayin =))))
@Thatslifekid - I saved all the bigger branches to use in my brick oven. I love cooking with apple. It is the best!
@Roadkill_Spatula - Silly me. I forgot to take pics. Next time down.
Maybe you should try chipping some more apple and using them to cook?
Sounds like a great use for marble countertops. I'd love to see photos.
@Aloysius_son - Do what ya gotta do! Sometimes taking a spoonful(or more)of locally cultivated honey every day helps with developing immunities to allergies.
@Yorokobi1010 - We used to have an air purifier. We need a new one. Last night I slept with a dust mask on. Uncomfortable but it provided much needed relief!
We put a powerful air purifier in my bedroom and it has decreased my husband's allergic reactions tenfold. Every Spring, he used to stay up coughing all hours into the night and he hasn't had one episode like that this year. Even when the outside drives him to snot-riddled, teary eyed sneezing & coughing, the house is a safe zone.
I bet the marble floor looks great!
Ooh allergies, and cats are driving me crazy too!
When do cats NOT drive one crazy? XD
