Fountain Pen
This octopus ain't no squid
This fin ain't no quid
That mess was all wrapped up
with a five pound noteIn Egypt they discovered the jinks
a veritas of missing links
arms spiraling outward
by a conch copier's quoteNear Mexico they uncovered the stones
of Quetzalcoatl's feathered bones
In fons iuventute
sailed back in de'Leon's boatUnder Atlantis they covered it all
with a well of water before the fall
But now don't you be sad
and don't give up your goatIt has all been recorded
before the ship was boarded
by the fountain pen of time
And that, is all she wrote

maybe drawing runs in your family.
we have letters in Polish but now all our old Polish folks are gone or can't see well.
But the young know English and I write to some in Poland still.
that's all she wrote....my Dad always said that, well that and a lot of other things I probably should forget =))))
Your poem is cool!
I can see you painting a painting and writing some music to go with this one!
HUGS!!!
HAHAHA! Love this one!!
You write some of the more interesting poems but here, many locals refer to octopus as "squid" lol.
Good Friday -hopefully our believes get stronger as we get older. I grewup with the memories of relatives as ghost
