  • Hallowed Ween

Walking through the woods I was surprised to see a pumpkin growing amongst the leaves. Upon closer inspection it turns out it wasn't a pumpkin at all but a large Fly Agaric mushroom. I thought it amazing how it pushed up the surrounding moss in its efforts to reach skyward. This particular specimen is about the size of my fist.

    Fly Agaric

You could eat these if you wanted, but they will make you nauseous, sleepy, hallucinate and disorientated, so I wouldn't recommend it. They contain neurotoxins which in high enough doses can be fatal.

I would like to ask you all to pray for each other. We all need a little extra prayer said on our behalves.

  • RYC Girls With Legs. An eight legged girl would be a real pany engineer's nightmare!

Cool mushroom. I don't pray, but it is pretty amazing that something as big as mushrooms can spring up so quickly, do their thing, and then die. Very efficient.

  • From the photo the mushroom looks bigger than your fist. Beautiful mushroom.

  • We eat morels whenever we find any, but we stay away from the rest, since we don't know enough about them. That is a big one. I just prayed for you and for the rest of my Xanga friends.
Remember the old spiritual "It's me, it's me o Lord, standin' in the need of prayer"?

  • Sounds like the makings of a good time! Two for tea! ;)

  • Talk about a mushroom....And no thanks, I'll stay clear of it.....
