Long ago, highways away, before the snow, the days turned grey.
Silhouettes of strong oaks turned to maples turned to willows turned to ash,
baby blue breath sky behind them,
glittering gilded cloud above them.

I watched the sunset in the gold!

The gold turned cold by brilliantly burning bright for one lasting moment.
Silhouettes of strong men turned to women turned to home turned to children,
whispering soft tuned pink cloud around them,
shimmering shade of lavender surround them.

I watched as stars rose in the cold!

The cold turned to gold in the fog I only vaguely vividly remember.
Silhouettes of green turned to yellow turned to orange turned to red November,
trying to flee facing a mirror ahead of them,
flying wishing away the fear beneath them.

I watched as the dog moon cracked in half!

A star turned to raining arrow sling shot from Orion's arching bow.
Silhouettes of planets turned to comets turned to meteors turned to dust,
sparkling without a sound as it fell all about them,
listening to the thirteenth kitten purr without them.

I watched as the world went on a wild ride!

Do You Swedge Your Balls?

I do not consider myself a hunting fanatic, but I do enjoy the hunt.

As the big game hunting season approaches here in NY, I thought I might share a bit of hunter's lore with you, my darling readers. I was raised to be a hunter. As far as I know the Lenhards have been hunters since 200,000 BC. This is evidenced by an early painting completed by one of my great ancestors.

When I was a young man I carried a Remington model 1100 12 ga. shotgun. I loaded it up with 5 rounds and put 5 more in each of my coat pockets. I figured this way I could shoot 15 deer. I quickly discovered that one doesn't go out in the afternoon and shoot 15 deer. I also discovered that I didn't need 15 bullets to kill one deer, although I do know someone who once did.

Most of the deer that I have shot, I shot only once. I learned that a single well placed bullet had a more desirable effect than half a dozen or so wildly fired slugs. Some of the things I learned about a well placed shot;

eliminates the need for tracking a wounded deer
reduces unnecessary suffering for the deer
prevents the production of adrenaline and makes for tastier meat
causes the deer to bleed out properly and makes for tastier meat
reduces the cost of ammunition and auditory damage during firing
eliminates shot damaged meat from bone shrapnel and hemorrhaging
makes for easier and cleaner butchering of the deer

I matured as a hunter and decided to invest in a single shot muzzleloading rifle. My trusted friend and companion season after season has been my Thompson Center Hawken.

At first all my hunting buddies made fun of me and my single shot primitive firearm. That is until I put a bullet through a quarter at 100 yards. I started taking a deer with every shot. One shot. One deer. No fuss. No muss. I prefer to use a patched roundball and measured powder rather than the modern specialty bullets and pellets.

Art, an old time hunting buddy finally decided to jump on the muzzleloading wagon with me. We would get together and talk the talk of the black powder aficionado. One day Art asked me if I swedged my balls.

"What's that you say?"
"I like to swedge my balls."
"Uh-huh. And exactly how does one swedge their balls?"

It get explicitly graphic at this point so I must leave the rest of our conversation to your imagination.

If you all are real nice to me maybe next time I will tell you how I use my ramrod to seat my balls against the powder load.

Anti-Stalker Module

A while back I installed an anti-stalker module on my Xanga site. You can't see it but I can, when I log in.

I have a stalker. I thought that only happened to celebrities and sports stars. Apparently anybody can have a stalker.

This twisted sick creature has viewed my pages 517 times in the last 6 months, that comes to over three page views a day. I know people who don't eat that many times in a day!

I wonder what this depraved individual expects to obtain from me? My average visitor has only 120 page views in a six month period. Oh! I wonder how many times this creep has looked at my pages incognito... you know... without signing in?

It is kinda scary when I think about it. The freak might actually be looking at one of my pages right now as I type!

I stopped by my stalkers site, to do a little reconnoiter. The weirdo wouldn't even put up their own profile pic! They are using a fake ID. No matter though. I found out what they actually look like.

I was just commenting on my Xanga niece's site about my son, who has a girlfriend he has been texting for over three years now. They have never actually met. Neither has any outside love interest. So I was begining to wonder... you know... about my grandchildren... then it dawned on me... they are going to be Superpoke kids...

I don't know... sure you don't have to change any messy diapers, but there just seems to be something missing in the whole baby making process... I guess I am just old fashioned. I just don't think I could find much satisfaction in hugging my cellphone before I drive off to work.

On the bright side, if this trend continues, our natural resources will be presevered for countless generations to come. I wonder if you can claim Superpoke kids on your income taxes?
